Sunset riders remake
No matter if you are playing in single-player or with a buddy, this is a lot of fun to play through. If you find a special emblem on a level, you can take part in a mini-game where you are on horseback and you have to collect things thrown from the back of a wagon. It is all about learning their patterns and that is part of the fun.
Getting to the bosses is quite easy, but some of them can be really tough. One button jumps, another shoots with you standing still and the other button allows you to shoot and move at the same time. One hit kills you so you always have to be on the lookout for bullets on the screen. You can get upgrades for your gun as you play and these will make you shoot faster. You walk along a 2d plane shooting any cowpokes that dare try and get in your way. Billy has two guns and Cormano has a shotgun type thing. There's also a lot to see in the action sequences. The large, cartoony' sprites have nice detail, and the backgrounds have strong colors. Sights and Sounds on the Lonesome PrairieĬlear, crisp graphics and rousing Western music make this an easy ride to enjoy. The sound effects can be helpful, too, as when you hear the thundering steers long before they hit the screen. The music propels the action with Old West rhythms that have been pumped up for the'90s.

#Sunset riders remake password
A password feature would've made the Old West more hospitable for young players. You get limited continues, which unfortunately means you'll be startin' from scratch purty regular. Smooth controls enable you to fire rapidly, but your man's not very fast on his feet, so he eats a lotta lead. The challenge is tough! Nasty varmints are hiding behind every tree and in every haystack, packin' pistols or heavin' dynamite. ProTip: Watch tor the chickens naming from an approaching stampede.
